What happened:
Jo Anne DeSha, 75, is strangled with a cord from a vacuum cleaner inside her home. Police respond at 10 a.m. to find her lying on the floor of her residence at 2302 Marco Circle. Police believe Reginald Mapp, 20, attacked her because she refused to sell him a car. Mapp pleads guilty to second-degree murder in 2015 and is sentenced to 40 years.
