What happened:
Lamunta Williams, 16, is shot to death in an abandoned house, just blocks away from where he was supposed to be in class at the Howard School. The teenager is shot nine times. Witnesses tell police that Courtney Birt, 18, pulled the trigger. He is charged with first-degree murder and is awaiting trial.
