What happened:
Ashley Cates, 30, is found on the floor of her apartment, deceased from multiple stab wounds. Blood in the hallway and on the door of a neighboring apartment led to the arrest of Tyrone Murphy, 57, who was found sitting on his bed with freshly stitched lacerations on his right hand. A trash bag of the victim's personal belongings as well as bloody towels were found in the apartment building's laundry room.
