What happened:
Carrie Parkey, 60, is found deceased in a transport van around 3 p.m. by Orange Grove Center employees. Parkey, a mentally disabled client of the center since 1974, was picked up at his residence around 8 a.m. but marked absent at the group home he he was transported to on Lillian Ct that morning. An initial autopsy from the Hamilton County medical examiner's office later stated Parkey died of hyperthermia from exposure to high temperatures and nine months later, Cliftina Jones, a former Orange Grove employee, was charged with criminally negligent homicide in connection to his death.
