What happened:
Julian Pasley, 19, shoots Malik Blackstock, 18, once in the chest, police say. Blackstock dies from the injury. Pasley declines to speak with police but witnesses say he claimed it was an accident and had been playing with a revolver before the fatal shot. In court, police argue that Blackstock was attempting to leave Pasley's gang to join a rival gang, and that's why Pasley shot him.
