What happened:
Jabari Jennings, 25, is shot in the face during a botched drive-by and dies. Joshua Lackey, 23, and Derrick Smith, 21, are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, aggravated assault and attempted first-degree murder. In 2013, Lackey pleads guilty to the lesser charge of accessory after the fact and is sentenced to one year. Smith pleads guilty to reckless aggravated assault in 2015 and is sentenced to two years. The murder and attempted murder charges are dropped for both men.
