What happened:
Garner Isbill, 76, is severely beaten at a hotel at 7300 Lee Highway. Isbill is initially hospitalized in critical condition after the beating and dies May 23. Jennifer Hatfield-Streeval, 32, and John Monicer, 28, are charged with criminal homicide. They tell police they believed Isbilll had molested their daughter. Moncier pleads guilty to voluntary manslaughter in 2014 and is sentenced to nine years. Hatfield-Streeval pleads guilty to aggravated assault and is sentenced to five years.
